Welcome to the Bulloch County School System! Starting a new job can be an exciting and sometimes overwhelming experience, filled with questions and uncertainties. The Benefit Resource Center will guide you through your questions in a convenient, educational, and simple enrollment experience.
As a new hire, enrollment in benefits is a two-step process. First, you must enroll or waive health coverage with State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP). Secondly, you must enroll or waive ancillary benefits such as: dental, vision, life and disability insurance, etc. through the NFP bswift portal.

It is required for all benefit eligible employees to access the above websites to waive or elect coverage. Failure to enroll in health insurance and ancillary products within the given time-period will result in the inability to elect coverage until the next open enrollment. If you are a new hire and you waive coverage, be aware that with some benefits there can be a late entrant penalty or waiting period penalty applied to your coverage and benefits would then be limited and/or could require a medical Evidence of Insurability-EOI to be completed. (Please review all detailed plan summaries for these limitations under the Employee Benefits tab above)
Please print and save a copy of the confirmation sheets from SHBP and NFP products.
