Long Term Disability

Long term disability is intended to offer financial protection of your income for a longer duration after you have exhausted your sick leave that you have accrued.

  • Employees who are newly eligible for this benefit will not need to complete a medical Evidence of Insurability-EOI.
  • Employees who did not enroll in LTD when it was initially offered at date of hire, you must wait until the next open enrollment period, and you will be required to complete an EOI.
  • Election of this benefit does not guarantee coverage.  Coverage will be pending EOI approval from The Hartford.

Monthly Benefit is 60% of pre-disability earnings up to a Max of $8,000

Elimination Period:   Option of:

7 days sickness & 0 days accident

14 days sickness & accident

30 days sickness & accident

60 days sickness & accident

90 days sickness & accident

180 days sickness & accident

Benefits Duration Period: SSNRA (Social Security Normal Retirement Age)

Pre-Existing Condition: 6/12
